How the draw decides

Who takes part

Everyone confirmed or present in the matchday (at least 2). The waiting list doesn't enter.

Keepers first

Starting keepers (1 per team, per config) are spread balancing count and weight. A surplus keeper becomes an outfield candidate — adjust after if needed.

Outfield by position

Defenders, midfielders and attackers are shuffled and dealt position by position, so no team gets more than 1 extra player in a position.

Fine balancing

The app tries 1×1 swaps within the same position and applies those that reduce the total-weight gap.

It's a proposal

Nothing is saved by the draw: redraw at will (each click reshuffles), drag players between teams, then Save line-up — only then do the teams go public.

Real example16 present, 2-3-2 (7 outfield + 1 keeper per team). The draw yields near-equal weight sums (e.g. 27.5 × 27.3) with 2 defenders, 3 midfielders and 2 attackers per side.

Drawing and saving the line-up organiser

1. The Teams tab shows one panel per team. Drawing is a proposal: nothing is saved, and every click reshuffles.
2. The balance bar compares the sum of the weights. Drag by hand if you like, and only then tap Save line-up — that is what publishes the teams.

Formation and the fallback notice

The config formation (e.g. 2-3-2 = defence-midfield-attack) must add up, with the keeper, to the players per team. If a night lacks players of some position, the draw proceeds and shows a notice that the formation couldn't be met — informative, not an error: teams stay weight-balanced.

The draw uses whoever is confirmed/present right now — latecomers need a redraw or a manual slot.
Extra players per team (config) enlarge teams beyond the formation and are distributed normally.
The draw uses that round's format: if you set the ✎ to 3 teams of 5, that is what it builds, without touching the pelada's settings.
Saving a line-up replaces the previous one entirely and creates the night's first game on the scoreboard.
Weights never show on public pages — organizer-only.

The draw feels unbalanced.+

Redraw (each click reshuffles) or move players by hand before saving — the balance bar updates live.

I saved the wrong line-up.+

With the matchday open, just draw/tweak and save again — the new one replaces the old.

A team ended up keeper-less.+

With fewer keepers than teams, someone goes without — the app won't invent one, but it does say so: the formation notice lights up. Move an outfielder into goal (whoever plays in goal skips the match fee that day, by default).

Some outfield position was short that night. Nothing broke: weight balance still holds; adjust positions by hand if you like.

What is weight and how is it used?+

Weight = the average of a player's 3 ratings (1.0–5.0). The draw deals by position, then balances team weight sums with same-position swaps.

Can I play with 3 teams?+

Yes — the config accepts 2 to 6 teams. The draw builds them all at once, balancing weight and positions across them, and each team gets its keeper. Since the app doesn't decide who plays whom, you log the night's fixtures on the matchday screen (rotation, winner-stays, whatever you run).

Does the draw save by itself?+

No. Drawing makes a proposal; teams only go public when you hit Save line-up.
