First: what freezes per matchday
When a matchday is created, the app freezes into it: the match fee, the scoring (W/D/L), the list policy and the team names. Config changes apply to future matchdays only — the past isn't rewritten (unless you run period recalculation). Scoring switches, MVP and team count are read live.
Schedule
⚙️ Weekday · time · duration
- What it is
- The usual match day (e.g. Thursday) and start/end window.
- How it works
- Generating the week's matchday suggests the next such date; the time goes into the call-up.
- Example
- Thursday, 21:00–22:00 → the call-up says "🕘 21:00–22:00".
- What it affects
- Matchday date suggestion and the call-up text.
⚙️ Default venue
- What it is
- The usual pitch/address.
- How it works
- Used in the call-up when the matchday has no venue of its own; each matchday can override (✎).
- Example
- "Park pitch" — on a booked-court week, adjust just that matchday.
- What it affects
- Call-up text and the public matchday page.
Match format
⚙️ Players per team · keepers per team
- What it is
- How many take the pitch per team (keeper included) and how many are keepers.
- How it works
- Defines call-up slots: goal = keepers × teams; outfield = (players − keepers) × teams. Separate queues.
- Example
- 8 per team, 1 keeper, 2 teams → 2 goal + 14 outfield = 16 called up.
- What it affects
- Call-up size, draw and formation validation.
⚙️ Extra players per team
- What it is
- Slots beyond the format — for in-game rotation.
- How it works
- They enlarge teams and the call-up; they sit outside the tactical formation. Who rotates is decided on the pitch.
- Example
- 8 + 2 extras × 2 teams = 20 called up.
- What it affects
- Call-up slots and drawn team size.
⚙️ Tactical formation
- What it is
- The outfield shape, defence-midfield-attack.
- How it works
- Formation sum + keepers must equal players per team (validated). The draw fills it position by position.
- Example
- 2-3-2 with 1 keeper = 8 per team. For 7-a-side: 2-2-2.
- What it affects
- Draw distribution and the pitch drawing on team pages.
⚙️ Number of teams · team names
- What it is
- How many teams the group plays with (2 to 6) and their names.
- How it works
- One name field appears per team. Names freeze into each matchday at creation. With 3+ teams the call-up list grows in proportion and you log each of the night's fixtures on the matchday screen.
- Example
- "Bibs" × "No bibs" — rename and the NEXT matchday is born with it.
- What it affects
- Messages, public pages and the matchday screen.
This whole block is the group's usual format. For a one-off night at another pitch — smaller court, three teams —, don't change it here: use the ✎ on that matchday's screen and adjust only it. Every other matchday keeps the group's format.
Money
⚙️ Billing (per matchday · monthly)
- What it is
- The money clock: charge per game or per month.
- How it works
- Per matchday: the fee drops from present players at closing. Monthly: regulars pay the month ("Close the month" in Credits) and no match fee; casuals still pay per game.
- Example
- Fixed group of 20 → monthly at £25; variable guests → per matchday.
- What it affects
- Who pays what, the call-up wording and the paid-up regular's queue immunity.
⚙️ Match fee · currency
- What it is
- The price of a night and its currency.
- How it works
- Frozen into each matchday at creation (adjustable per matchday with ✎). Currency sets the symbol.
- Example
- Fee £6.50; on the expensive-court week, set just that matchday to £8.00.
- What it affects
- Closing deductions, the match-day £, pending amounts, messages.
⚙️ Monthly fee · due day
- What it is
- The regular's monthly price (monthly billing only) and reference day.
- How it works
- "Close the month" charges each regular — kitty untouched.
- Example
- £25, due on the 5th.
- What it affects
- Regulars' balances and the financial report.
⚙️ Keeper pays?
- What it is
- Whether whoever plays in goal pays the fee.
- How it works
- Off (default): whoever filled a goal slot in the saved line-up isn't charged — including an outfielder in goal that night.
- Example
- Pedro (attack) took the gloves on Thursday: no fee that night.
- What it affects
- Closing deductions.
⚙️ Block debtor
- What it is
- Stops confirming players with negative balance.
- How it works
- Acts on the manual "confirmed" marking. Note: the loyalty policy's automatic call-up does not consult this switch.
- Example
- A debtor manually confirmed → refused until they top up.
- What it affects
- Manual attendance marking.
⚙️ Payment details
- What it is
- Your pix/account/instructions.
- How it works
- Free text shown in the call-up (💰).
- Example
- "Sort code 00-00-00 (Luiz)".
- What it affects
- Call-up text only.
Scoring and rules
⚙️ Points for win · draw · loss
- What it is
- The standings scoring.
- How it works
- Frozen per matchday; standings add per GAME played at the era's values. Success rate divides by each player's own possible points.
- Example
- Default 3/1/0. Switch to 2/1/0? Old matchdays still count 3 — run recalculation to rewrite.
- What it affects
- Standings (points and success rate).
⚙️ Misses to back of queue
- What it is
- Consecutive misses that reset the streak.
- How it works
- Miss = left with notice OR no-show, consecutive. On the Nth, the streak resets. Excused leaves don't count.
- Example
- Default 3: miss 2 and return — the streak survives; the 3rd in a row resets it.
- What it affects
- Call-up priority (loyalty policy).
⚙️ List policy
- What it is
- How the queue orders: loyalty (default), arrival order or manual.
- How it works
- Loyalty: counters rule. Arrival: order of marking. Manual: you set and reorder. Frozen per matchday.
- Example
- First-come groups → "arrival"; fixed workplace list → "manual".
- What it affects
- Call-up, waiting-list promotions and the call-up text.
⚙️ Track scorers · Elect MVP
- What it is
- The two switches for the night's individual numbers.
- How it works
- On, they enable per-game goals/assists and electing the MVP — either by in-app voting (you open the ballot on the matchday screen and each player with an account votes) or by recording the WhatsApp poll result by hand. Turning off later doesn't erase what's logged.
- Example
- Stats-loving group: turn both on for scorer and MVP tabs.
- What it affects
- Matchday screen, messages and public sections.
⚙️ Elect the round's Flat Ball
- What it is
- The banter counterpart to the MVP: the group elects the worst of the night.
- How it works
- On, the 🎈 tab shows up on the matchday screen, with its own ballot, independent of the MVP one — the two open, close and break ties by separate acts, and can run on the same night. Same rules apply: only players who turned up that round can vote, nobody votes for themselves and the vote is final. The 🎈 on the list still works with no ballot at all.
- Example
- Group with heavy banter: turn it on and the standings gain a Flat Ball tab.
- What it affects
- Matchday screen, player area, standings and the public pages. It starts switched off, deliberately: calling someone the worst of the night on a public page is sharp humour aimed at a named person. The count enters the season but never takes points off the standings.
⚙️ Standings on
- What it is
- The GENERAL switch of the standings table.
- How it works
- Off hides the table publicly and in the admin — computation continues; back on restores the whole season.
- Example
- Purely social group: off, pages show only games and teams.
- What it affects
- Standings display everywhere (never the computation).
Identity
⚙️ Pelada time zone
- What it is
- Which time zone your pelada lives in. It decides what "today" means, when reminders go out and when the night silence starts.
- How it works
- A closed list of zones, by country and city — country alone won’t do, since Brazil has four. Every pelada starts on Europe/London.
- Example
- A pelada in São Paulo left on London time would announce "9pm" meaning 5pm or 6pm there.
- What it affects
- The suggested round date, the automatic alerts, the 10pm–8am silence and when the match report unlocks.
⚙️ Dressing-room banter in public
- What it is
- Turns on the cheeky line next to a player’s name in the standings and on their public profile.
- How it works
- It starts off. Building the line bank doesn’t depend on it — only the display does.
- Example
- Switched off, the bank stays there untouched; nobody outside sees a thing.
- What it affects
- Public standings, public profile and the player panel. Each player’s opt-out beats this switch.
⚙️ Pelada language
- What it is
- PT, EN or ES — this pelada's pages language.
- How it works
- The whole app follows it, regardless of the visitor's browser.
- Example
- Brazilian group in London: PT screens on English browsers.
- What it affects
- All pelada pages and WhatsApp texts.
⚙️ Show in showcase · Free badge
- What it is
- Two promo switches: list your pelada on the FootyPro home and show the footer badge.
- How it works
- Both on by default; switch off freely.
- Example
- Private condo group: out of the showcase, badge off.
- What it affects
- Promotion only; direct links keep working.
Access: your account and who else runs the group
The Group tab ends with two cards that are not game rules: who else gets into this group's dashboard, and the security of your account. Both are about access — and the second one isn't even about the group, it's about the account you signed in with.
⚙️ Administrators
- What it is
- Who else can get into this group's dashboard. The link is per group: access here opens no other one.
- How it works
- Type the email and hit + Add administrator. To remove, use the ✕ next to the name.
- Example
- You're away for a month and Bruno runs the group: add his email now, remove it when you're back.
- What it affects
- Full dashboard access — the same powers you have, money and deletion included. There is no half-access.
Add the email
If that person already uses FootyPro, access is live at once — no invitation to accept, no waiting.
📍 Dashboard → Settings → GroupIf they have no account yet
The account is created right away and they get an email explaining how to sign in. There is no password to set: they get in through the link sent to their email, or with Continue with Google.
📍 Dashboard → Settings → GroupTo remove access
The ✕ cuts it immediately — the next screen they open already answers access denied. They get an email about it, so they don't find out by knocking.
📍 Dashboard → Settings → Group- The last administrator can't leave. With only one left the app refuses the removal — otherwise the group would have nobody able to get in and undo it.
- Removing yourself is allowed, as long as somebody else remains. You're dropped from the dashboard at once and sent back to the sign-in screen.
- Administrator is not the same as player: one gets into the dashboard, the other has a record in the squad. The same person can be both, with the same email — and then picks which door to use.
- An email that already administers this group duplicates nothing: the app says so and does nothing.
⚙️ Two-factor authentication (2FA)
- What it is
- A 6-digit code generated on your phone, asked for on top of the email sign-in. It belongs to your account, not to the group — it applies to every group you run.
- How it works
- The Account security card leads to Your account, which lives outside the group. It is optional for everyone.
- Example
- You handle the kitty and 30 people's records: it's worth the 30 seconds it takes to switch on.
- What it affects
- Only your own sign-in. Nothing changes for players or for the other administrators — each one decides for themselves.
Open Your account
Through the Account security card, or straight at /conta.
Hit Turn on 2FA
A QR code appears: scan it with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, your phone's password manager). With no camera at hand, you can type the code shown just below it.
Confirm with the 6 digits
Type the number the app shows and hit Confirm and turn on. A rejected code is almost always the phone's clock being off.
Keep the 8 backup codes
They show up once only and each one works once only. They are what saves you if you lose the phone — keep them somewhere that isn't the phone itself.
- With 2FA on, signing in takes two steps: the usual email and then the code from the app — or one of the backup codes.
- Turning it off asks for the account password, and the normal way into FootyPro has no password (email link or Google). If you never set one, ask support for a link to set it — only then can you switch 2FA off.
- Losing the phone and the backup codes locks the account: from there only support can open it.
- 2FA does not protect your mailbox — that's where the sign-in link arrives. Securing the email is still step one.
