🏆 Recording results and closing

A night can hold several games; closing is when everything becomes official: counters, fees and standings.

The night's game log

A matchday is a list of games: with two teams it's usually one, but you can log several (rotation, winner-stays) — even repeating the same pairing. The app doesn't decide who plays whom: it records what happened.

Save the line-up

Saving the teams creates the night's first game.

📍 Round → Teams → Save line-up

Enter the score

Use each game card's steppers. "+ Add game" logs another one.

Goals and assists (optional)

With scoring enabled in Config, mark ⚽ and 🅰 per game — candidates are that game's players.

📍 Round → Game

MVP (optional)

With MVP on there are two routes. In the app: hit "Open voting" and each player with an account votes from their own area — voting unlocks the live tally, and the vote is final; on "Close and count" the most voted becomes the MVP. On a tie, the system invents no criterion: the tied players show up in the MVP card as buttons and you pick the winner — it is recorded that the tie-break was yours, and the public round page says "organiser's tie-break". Tap another name to change it. Once closed, everyone sees who voted for whom. On WhatsApp: voting runs in the group (the app writes the texts) and you record the winner with the ⭐, which always overrides the count.

Flat Ball (optional)

With the Flat Ball on, the 🎈 tab brings the same mechanics as the MVP, and its ballot is independent: you can open both on the same night, and closing one does not touch the other. Only players who turned up that round can vote, nobody votes for themselves, the vote is final and a tie elects nobody either — the tied players become buttons and you pick. The 🎈 on the round list works with no ballot at all and overrides the count, just like the ⭐. Whoever gets the Flat Ball is notified, with the vote count, and receives its card — the season tally belongs to the group, and the trophy would be pointless if its owner were the only one not to know.

Close the matchday

Closing demands every logged game scored — a scoreless game blocks the button (✕ deletes it if it was a mistake).

Opening the MVP vote and counting it organiser

 1. The 🏅 MVP tab shows the vote's state and, while it is open, who has voted — out of whoever can vote, not whoever is in the line-up.

 2. Whoever has no access to the app is listed separately: for those people the action is adding an email, not chasing a vote.

What closing does (in this order)

1. Charges the match fee

From each present payer (exempt players, monthly-billed regulars and the day's keeper are out — by default).

2. Consolidates counters

Streaks, consecutive misses and no-shows are recomputed from the full history — next week's priority is born here.

3. Realigns open matchdays

Future call-ups (loyalty policy) reorder with the fresh counters.

4. Recomputes standings

Attendance, per-game W/D/L, points (at the matchday's frozen values), goals, assists and MVP enter the season table.

Real exampleA 2-game night: A 3×1 B and B 2×2 A. Whoever played both adds 2 games (1 win + 1 draw = 4 points at default scoring); the success rate divides by the possible points of the games each player actually played.

Matchday → Reopen, fix, close again. Counters and standings recompute from scratch.
The close button is blocked.+
Some logged game has no score. Score it or ✕ it if it was a mistake.
It rained — no game.+
Cancel the matchday. It's neutral: no attendance, no miss, no charge.
I credited a goal to the wrong player.+
Open matchday: fix on the game card. Closed: reopen, fix, close.
Must I log goals to close?+
No — goals/assists are optional (and need scoring enabled). Only each logged game's score is mandatory.
Can I close with no games?+
No: closing requires at least one scored game.
What if I disable scoring later?+
Logged goals keep counting in standings; the switch only blocks new entries (and hides the public section).
