How to use FootyPro

A quick guide to find your way around, master the weekly flow and get the most out of the tool — without getting lost. Made for the organizer.

Nothing found. Try another word (e.g. credit, league table, no-show).

🚀 1. Start here

New here? In 10 steps you go from zero to your first published round.

Set up your game

Set the day, time, venue, match fee, format (2-3-2) and rules.

📍 Dashboard → Settings see the guide →

Add the players

Name, type (member/casual), position and attributes. Photo is optional.

📍 Dashboard → Players → New player see the guide →

Invite whoever wants to follow

Putting an email on someone’s record IS the invitation: they can then answer “I’m in / I’m out”, see the squad and vote for the MVP from their own phone.

📍 Dashboard → Players see the guide →

Open the week's round

Generate the round and the call-up, already sorted by priority.

📍 Dashboard → Rounds → Generate round + call-up see the guide →

Send it to the group

Copy the ready-made text and paste it into WhatsApp. Regulars come first.

📍 Round → Messages → Call-up see the guide →

On the day, check people in

Mark who showed up. That's what charges the match fee at closing.

📍 Round → List see the guide →

Build the teams

Draw 2 balanced teams by rating, and tweak by hand if you want.

📍 Round → Teams see the guide →

Enter the score and close the round

Closing locks in W/D/L, updates streaks and charges the match fee.

📍 Round → Game → Save & close see the guide →

After the whistle: MVP and video

Open the MVP vote so whoever played can vote, and attach the night’s video — both show up on the round’s public page.

📍 Round → 🏅 MVP see the guide →

Done!

The public League table, Teams and Matches update on their own. Just share the link.

🌐 Public pages see the guide →

🧭 2. Where everything is

The app has three sides: the public pages (anyone can open them, no login), the player area (for whoever you add with an email) and your management area.

📆 3. The matchday flow

The path you repeat every week, in a few taps on your phone.

From opening to kickoff

  1. Open the round in Rounds → Generate round + call-up.
  2. Send it out: on the round’s Messages tab, copy the call-up and paste it into WhatsApp.
  3. During the week, mark who confirmed, dropped out (with notice) or no-showed on the List tab.
  4. On the day, check in whoever turned up.
  5. Draw the teams on the Teams tab and tweak by hand if needed.
  6. On the Game tab, enter the score and hit Save & close round.
  7. Open the MVP vote and attach the video — both show up on the round’s public page.
  8. Check the match reports players sent (goals and assists) before closing the vote.
✅ Closing the round is what updates the league table, the streaks and charges the fee. Nothing is locked in until you close.

📖 4. Step-by-step guides

The detail of each feature.

👥

Adding and editing players

From one-by-one sign-up to importing the WhatsApp list — and what happens when you deactivate, reactivate or anonymise someone.

Open the guide →
🙋

The player area

Adding an email is the invitation. There the player answers "I'm in / I'm out", sees the queue, votes for the MVP and checks their balance — never anyone else's money.

Open the guide →

Attendance and priority

The rule that orders the call-up, what each attendance state does to the queue — and when counters actually change.

Open the guide →
🎲

Team draw

The draw proposes weight-balanced teams following your formation — and you tweak by hand before publishing.

Open the guide →
🏆

Recording results and closing

A night can hold several games; closing is when everything becomes official: counters, fees and standings.

Open the guide →
💳

Credits and kitty

Every player holds a balance; the fee drops at closing. The kitty is the group's real money — and the two reconcile.

Open the guide →
💬

WhatsApp messages

The app builds the text; you copy and paste into the group. Nothing is ever sent by itself.

Open the guide →
📅

Season rollover and recalculation

Rollover resets standings and keeps priority and credits (unless asked). Recalculation rewrites rules backwards, never scores.

Open the guide →
🌐

Sharing the public pages

A login-free link for the group to follow everything — privacy guaranteed by construction.

✏️

Adjust just this round

The borrowed pitch has a different price, address, time and size. Adjust the round — the pelada stays as it is.

Open the guide →
🎥

Round video

Paste a YouTube link or upload an MP4. The video shows on the round's public page, which only opens once the line-up is saved.

Dressing-room banter

A bank of lines for your pelada. Nothing goes public until you assign it to someone: assigning IS approving.

5. FAQ

The questions that come up most.

Do players need to download an app or log in? +
Nobody needs to install anything — it all runs in the browser. And there are two routes: the <b>public pages</b> (Home, Standings, Teams, Games, Compare) open for anyone, no login, and that is the link you drop in the group; the <b>player area</b> is for whoever you add with an email — it lets them answer "I’m in / I’m out", see the list, vote for the MVP and check what they owe. see the guide →
How does the match fee work and who pays? +
Each player has a credit balance and the fee is deducted at each attendance (when you close the round). The keeper doesn't pay, and neither does whoever went in goal that day. The amount lives in Settings. see the guide →
How do I keep the regulars on the list? +
The list is sorted by attendance streak: those who always come stay on top. Whoever keeps missing goes to the back of the queue. It's automatic. see the guide →
What exactly happens when I close the round? +
Three things: (1) it updates the priority streaks; (2) it charges the fee to whoever was present; (3) it recomputes the season league table with the result. see the guide →
I entered the wrong score. How do I fix it? +
Reopen the round (organizer option), adjust the score or attendance and close again. The league table recomputes on its own. see the guide →
I deactivated a player by mistake / they came back. Now what? +
No one is deleted — only deactivated, so the history is kept. Just Reactivate. On reactivation the priority streak resets, but points and credits stay. see the guide →
Do financial figures show up for players? +
No. The public pages show only the sporting side (names, positions, W/D/L, points). Balance, phone and attributes never appear. see the guide →
I changed the fee or the scoring. Does it apply retroactively? +
By default it applies going forward — closed rounds keep the values of their time. To reapply over a range, use recompute by period in Seasons. see the guide →
The game was cancelled (rain, pitch closed). What do I do? +
Cancel the round. That counts no absence for anyone, doesn't touch streaks and charges no fee. see the guide →
We were short for the 2-3-2. Does the draw still work? +
It does: the draw distributes normally, balancing by rating, and shows a notice that the formation couldn't be met — informative, nothing breaks. You can always adjust by hand. see the guide →
How do players find things out? +
Through the group, as always — the ready-made texts are still there. And, for whoever has an email on their record, through the <b>alerts</b> inside the app too: call-up, slot opened, teams drawn and result. There are no phone notifications yet: the notice sits in their inbox, and the bell rings with the screen open. see the guide →
Can I change the fee, the time or the format for this week only? +
You can — it is the ✎ button next to the date on the round screen. It applies to that night only, and the pelada's settings stay untouched. The time always changes; the format needs the score deleted first, and the fee needs any £ payments undone. see the guide →
Can I give someone else access to help me run it? +
You can: Settings → <b>Group</b> tab → <b>Administrators</b> card, with their email. If they have no account yet, it is created there and then and they get an email explaining how to sign in — with no password to set. Access is <b>full</b> and applies to this group only; the ✕ removes it at once, and the app never lets you remove the last administrator. see the guide →

6. Tips to get the most out of it

Small habits that make a difference.

💬
Always call up via Group message. The priority lineup comes ready — just paste.
📱
Check people in on your phone, pitch-side. It's meant to be quick, a few taps.
⚖️
Trust the draw and only fine-tune. Move one or two players if you feel the need.
💰
Ask for the top-up early in the month. Members deposit the package and the balance runs down.
🏆
Share the league table every week. It engages the group and brings people back.
Turn on top scorers in Settings if you want goals and assists highlighted.
