Help CentreAlerts and the inbox

🔔 Alerts and the inbox

Everything becomes a line in the inbox; only some of it interrupts. Switching a category off removes the alert, never the notice.

Two inboxes, one design

You have your inbox and each player has theirs. The bell shows how many unread notices there are, and the inbox keeps everything in order: call-up, slot opened, teams drawn, result, MVP votes. The whole line is clickable and goes straight to the relevant screen.

The rule that surprises: the alert isn't the notice

The four switches — ⚽ Round, 🏆 Result, 💷 Money, 💬 Social — control what interrupts you (today, the bell's sound and pulse). They do not stop the notice existing: it stays in the inbox and keeps counting towards the bell.

Real exampleYou switch "Money" off because you don't want debt nagging mid-week. The following Thursday the notice "5 players with no balance" is there, in your inbox, waiting — it just didn't ring. If the switch deleted the notice, you would never find out, not even by looking.

What the app sends on its own, and when

Everything is measured in hours before the match, never in weekdays — so it works for whoever plays on Saturday morning and survives a time change.

12 hours before

To the player who hasn't answered, "You still need to confirm". To you, the confirmation summary and, if any, who has no balance.

6 hours before

"Round at risk", only if confirmations still don't fill the slots. It is the one alert that pierces the night silence — at 11pm a round can still be saved with a phone call; in the morning it can't.

3 hours before

"Match today", with time and venue, for whoever holds a slot. Whoever is on the waiting list doesn't get it.

After the match

If the round is still open, the app reminds you the result is missing — and stops on its own once you close it.

I switched a category off and the notice still shows up.+
That is the design, not a fault: the switch removes the alert (sound and pulse), and the notice stays in the inbox for you to read whenever you like. To be left alone for a while, use Pause everything.
I stopped getting alerts and don't know why.+
Check, in this order: the "Mute until" pause with a future date, then the four switches. Remember that between 10pm and 8am notices are deferred to 8am.
A player says they weren't told about the call-up.+
Only whoever has access to the app gets notices — that is, an email on the record and a confirmed link. Without that, the group message is still the way.
I got the same notice several times.+
You shouldn't: notices about the same thing merge into one line with a counter. If the number went up, the fact repeated — three people voted, for instance.
Does the app send phone notifications?+
Not yet. Today the alert happens inside the app: the bell pulses and rings when something new arrives with the screen open, and the inbox keeps everything for when you come back.
Do I need to switch anything on to start receiving?+
No. With no configuration at all, you and the players receive everything — the switches exist only to reduce.
If someone deletes a notice, does it go for everyone?+
No. Each inbox belongs to one person; archiving clears your screen and touches nobody else's.
